We WILL Be Back!

#StrongerTogether Tribe!

I hope you are well!  Those of you who heard the Governor today probably already know that Gyms are in Phase 3 of Baker's reopening plan. Assuming all the other phases go accordingly, that allows us to open (roughly) 6 weeks from now. (June 29th.)

Things could change, dates could be moved, and phases could be altered - there's still a lot up in the air and unanswered. As of now, I cannot consider opening the doors of your club until we are given the go ahead - I know that the government is still reviewing outdoor classes/ 1-1 training, etc, so I will stay abreast of any new developments and let you know ASAP.

While we work hard to reevaluate and fine tune our opening strategy now that we have a rough idea of timeline, here are a few things you can be doing to help support your club.

1.     We need your email! Please email us with your email address so we can more effectively communicate with you - especially if anything changes quickly and we could somehow reopen sooner than anticipated.

2.     Rest assured that once we reopen, your club will continue to be the cleanest on the South Shore. We are committed to your safety and wellness, and as such, we are up to date on all CDC and Board of Health guidelines regarding social distancing protocols, sanitizing, etc. The club may not operate exactly the same as before, but we can guarantee it will remain the same awesome club you miss.

3.     Reach out to our local and state reps to remind them that your health club is an essential business that helps to enhance the physical and mental health of our community. Let them know that we already adhere to stringent health standards, will continue to follow and evolve our practices to exceed CDC and Board of Health new standards, and that the safety and health of our members have always been the priorities.

4.     Call a club member and check in on him/her. Make sure you are still staying #strongertogether as a community and taking care of one another.

5.     Thank an essential worker. Those of you on the frontlines inspire us every day. Thank you.

I am truly disappointed that the Fitness industry is not opening until Phase 3. I know many of you are, too. We will continue to advocate for your wellness, but if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out

My 7-year old reminded me of one thing today: “Mom: I know you miss your gym people and I’m sorry for everyone because I know they miss it, too.. but you WILL be back together again. You’ll make sure of it. Stay positive.”

From the mouths of babes, no? But, she’s right. We will be back. Rest assured that our team is committed more than ever to keep you safe and healthy.

In the meantime: stay positive, stay well, stay strong, and stay grateful to all of those on the front lines!

All the best always,

Colleen & The Workout Club Team
