TRX with Tom at The Workout Club

What is TRX?

TRX stands for “Total Resistance Exercise” and refers to the suspension training and equipment developed by former Navy SEAL, Randy Hetrick, in 1997 while deployed in Southeast Asia.

The trials and tribulation of Randy’s story — from sewing his own prototypes, driving from gym to gym to demo his equipment, to battling counterfeit companies (spoiler alert: he won!) — are nothing short of incredible! You can listen to his entire story through “How I Built This.”

What are the Benefits of TRX?

The TRX system uses your own body weight to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability. TRX suspension training is extremely versatile. Users can increase both their cardio endurance and muscle strength with this low-impact system.

Who Uses TRX?

The TRX website boasts that it’s for everybody that enjoys getting a good workout with simple equipment, whether you are just beginning your fitness journey, a pro athlete, or somewhere in between.
